Spain is different (Flamenco way of protest)

26 Jun

From childhood I’ve grown with the statement: ‘Spain is different’.

Throughout my life I’ve interpreted it in several ways. Most of the times in the wrong way, but raising a half-smile of proud resignation. The same way that a mother looks at his most friendly but helpless son.

An unemployment rate of almost 25%. Until 100.000 million financial rescue. But full terraces on the streets and with different and very ironic ways of accepting the current situation. Check out this funny example:

When Valencia turns into a F1 Circuit.

21 Jun

Yesterday we were reading our friend’s Lucía awesome blog dedicated to the F1, and we discovered a vast F1-world which was unknown for us.

Even though we sometimes think F1 is just driving in circles for a long long long time, lots of people love it. Bets for F1 reach the astronomic levels of 650 Million Euros…and we are only speaking about figures from Spain, we don’t want to even imagine how high can it be worldwide…

This weekend takes place the Grand Prix of Europe in Valencia so we’re taking a closer look to this F1-fever.

tripNETer was in BizBarcelona

18 Jun

tripNETer was last week in BizBarcelona, the enterpreneurship meeting fair!

We enjoyed it a lot, there was a lot of networking (we even took part of a Speed Networking!) and lots to learn: conferences, enterpreneurs meetings…

The CINC actually used two tripNETer devices to stay connected full time and without limits.

Anyone has also been there? tell us in the comments!

Endless Roads 3 – Land of Castles

13 Jun

WE LOVE IT!!

THIS IS A T3ST

Tag along on a road trip in Spain with the Longboard Girls Crew·

In this third episode, we return from Mallorca and visit Carlota’s parents in their family house in Denia. They invite us to paella right in front of the beach. We spend the night in Calpe and continue our journey to the country’s interior. Castillian landscapes, lands of castles and medieval towns are waiting for us.

[7 female riders, 1 van, 15 days, 4.300km, 416 GB of raw material… culminating in one video, divided into four chapters. The film documents the adventure of the trip, portraying the girls, their lifestyle and their passion for longboard.]

Videos like this get me stoked to go out and skate the world.  This a four part series, I included this one because of that gnarly nose manual at 3:16. Here’s Part 1, Part 2 and Part 4!

Hollywood also loves Spain

11 Jun

Sundays are for us Movie-Days. We love going to the cinema and forgetting about the upcoming monday between frames and popcorn, or just stay at home and choose the perfect movie.

So yesterday we began to remember some Hollywood scenes or movies that have been shot in Spain. We remember these, but we are sure there are many more:

1. Vicky Cristina Barcelona (2008)

So long and thanks for all the fish (A dolphin’s Tale)

5 Jun

One of our All-time-favourite songs is ‘So long and thanks for all the fish’. We discover it in the opening of “A hitchhiker’s guide to the galaxy” (best part of the movie from far). This marvelous song tell us the terrible story of how dolphins fleed from planet Earth because of an upcoming crisis.

Everyday we read at the newspapers lots of bad news of spanish financial situation, and our great fear is that dolphins leave us too!!. That would be just too bad.

Sing with us!:
